Hi, I'm Maddy!
I recently graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's in Journalism and a minor in Public Relations. Following graduation, I spent six months interning with MLive at The Flint Journal.
​I fell in love with journalism as a pre-teen, and my passion for storytelling continues to blossom daily. As a Lansing area native, I was lucky to cover the community I grew up during college.
While I was in school, I worked for The State News, MSU's independent student newspaper, for two years. At SNews, I covered academics, Diversity and Inclusion and sports, specifically hockey.
My other experience includes working as a Staffer for the Spartan Sports Report through MSU's School of Journalism and a Content Writing Intern for My Michigan Beach.
Prior to MSU, I was the Editor-in-Chief of Lansing Community College's student newspaper, The Lookout.
